Reach out to the Science and Technology Elite
We are committed to providing our audience with content that is insightful, educational and can help them in determining the best solutions for their R&D projects and business needs.
For this reason, we welcome companies and organizations anywhere in the world to supply our editors with their latest press releases, product announcements, service updates and upcoming events. Please follow the guidelines below to ensure that your submitted material is dealt with promptly by our team:
- Please submit all of your press releases and updates to: e-mail: press [at] scicasts [dot] com.
If possible, please submit your press releases and updates BEFORE their release dates, marked clearly as EMBARGOED followed by the release time and date. This will allow us to study your story and, if accepted, publish it as soon as possible after the release date.
PLEASE NOTE: The earlier we receive your submissions, the earlier we may publish your news stories.
- Please DO NOT attach or embed any images, videos or any other material to your e-mail submissions, due to the high volumes of e-mails that we receive every day and to avoid our SPAM filters. Please follow the guidelines for submitting such material in the relevant sections below.
We have found that news posts with images always attract more attention than plain text news. Thus, we introduced a policy that every news story MUST contain an image. If your press release does not contain an image – such as images of research findings or new products...etc – please supply us with images of the individual(s) mentioned in your press release, or an image of your building, laboratory, company logo, or any other image that you see fit.
Please note the following technical guidelines:
- Please supply HIGH RESOLUTION images in any of these formats: JPEG, GIF, PNG or PSD.
- Please DO NOT e-mail us your images. INSTEAD, please e-mail us or include download links to your images in your press release submissions. If you cannot host your images on a server, we can setup an FTP account for your company so that you can upload your material directly to us at any time.
Press Videos (Also Published on Scicasts TV)
You can submit your press videos as part of your press release or as a separate news material for our editors to review. We also accept promotional videos and on-demand webinars, with lead generation options (fees apply).
We accept the following formats for your video content, including HD videos: H.264 / MP4 (.mp4), VP8 / WebM (.webm), Ogg Theora (.ogv). If you CANNOT supply any of the above video formats, we may accept alternative formats. Please contact the editors at: e-mail: edit [at] scicasts [dot] com.
Please DO NOT e-mail us your videos. INSTEAD, please e-mail us or include download links to your video files in your press release submissions. If you cannot host your videos on a server, we can setup an FTP account for your company so that you can upload your video files directly to us at any time.
Infographics are created by Scicasts and contributors to help communicate complex stories and ideas in a visually clear and compact manner. Think of it as a visual shorthand of the story. Infographics are shifting the way readers and researchers find and experience scientific news.
Here is a great example of an infographic produced by IBM that we published recently:
